PolyU DBA Public Lecture - Future of Urban Sensing and Smart Cities

The increasing deployment of sensors and hand-held electronics in recent years is allowing new approaches to study the urban environment. The way we describe cities is being radically transformed – alongside the tools we use to design them and impact on their physical structures. This lecture will address these issues from a critical point of view through a tour of several projects that are pertinent to the development of future smart cities.
